DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Marchioness" crystal regulator with a spring driven 8 day time and half hour strike (rack and snail) movement (visible escapement) in a polished brass case with rich gold ornaments.
CONDITION:
The case is in excellent condition and retains much of its gilt ornamentation. The porcelain dial has two minor hairline cracks, one at 4:30 and one at 10. The hands are original. The four beveled glass panels show no evidence of chipping. The movement is signed.
